Perpetua Resources presents a check for $20,000 to Meadows Valley School staff and students for the school’s CTE program.

A generous $20,000 donation from Perpetua Industries is helping strengthen Career Technical Education (CTE) opportunities for students in grades 8 through 12 at Meadows Valley School, reinforcing the company’s commitment to the community and its future workforce.

The donation will directly support hands-on learning experiences through classroom instruction, that allow students to explore practical career pathways while still in school. Funds will be used to enhance CTE programs within Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources, including high-demand fields such as welding, giving students access to real-world skills that can lead to meaningful careers close to home.

Career Technical Education plays a vital role in rural communities like Meadows Valley, where hands-on skills and job readiness are essential. By expanding these programs, students gain valuable experience, confidence, and exposure to career options that support both individual success and the long-term strength for the region.

A Meadows Valley School student states that, “The Ag program has also made us willing to do more things since the program isn’t only teaching us how to do things, it’s also inspiring us to do more and learn more.” Another student and Meadows Valley FFA Officer states, “The Ag Program has shown me different job opportunities, how to speak properly, showed me tangible skills like welding, it has helped me think about the future and what I want to do and be. Receiving a donation like this will help improve hands-on opportunities. It will allow us to get more tools and resources that will help us to develop skills for the future.”

School leaders and educators expressed appreciation for Perpetua Industries’ continued support of local students. “This donation makes a real difference in what we can offer our kids,” they shared. “It allows us to provide meaningful, hands-on learning that connects education to real opportunities in our community.”

The partnership between Meadows Valley schools and Perpetua Industries reflects a shared investment in students, families, and the future of the valley. By supporting education today, Perpetua Industries is helping ensure that local students have the skills, training, and opportunities needed to thrive tomorrow—whether they choose to enter the workforce, pursue further training, or give back to the community they call home.
