The Lower Weiser River Cooperative Weed Management Area and Washington County Weed will host an applicator seminar on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Class will begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at 9:15 p.m. There is no charge for this class. The seminar will be in the Community Room at Midvale School, Midvale, Idaho. Enter at the back of the main (older) building.
The Weed Advisory Board understands applicators have struggled to obtain credits to keep their license current, so we encourage you to attend. Drone spraying is becoming extremely popular in our area and Bill Ballantyne, Agricultural Services will cover the basics including the licensing needed. Private landowner, Sheila Neckels will share their story of reclaiming thirty acres of pasture from annual grass and noxious weeds to productive grazing. The final presentation of the evening features Blaine Sterling, ISDA Certification and Training Specialist will cover the licensing program including the new/updated categories.
Light refreshments will be served. Idaho Pesticide Applicators will receive three credits for this class. You must attend the entire class to receive credit. Please RSVP to the Weed Department at 414-1950.
