Council Valley Museum at 100 S. Galena St., Council, ID has undertaken some very serious restoration and renovation providing great professional skills and equipment.

Larry Goodrich w/Hired Hands: removed broken windows and installed course concrete blocks back into the building wall; create level and square secure concrete blocks on the south half of the flowerbed block frame next to the juniper shrub intended to be removed later and review the north half of the flowerbed condition; mortared serious holes in the building concrete walls (required a ladder).

Sean Duncan w/Duncan Dirt Works: voluntarily provided a heavy duty backhoe to remove the old, overgrown, fire hazardous juniper shrub from the north half of the flowerbed that had been threatening the building stability on the building east wall.

James McCleery w/Asplundh Tree expert from Fruitland, ID: voluntarily shredded and removed the juniper shrub except for the three big roots that were unable to be shredded.

John Stone & Nick Stone: voluntarily cleaned up and hauled away the big juniper roots.

These professional men have helped maintain the historic museum building and terrain to enable continued visitors to enjoy the preserved history both inside and out. The flowerbed block frame will still need some clean gravel for the improved flowerbed drainage. Thank You,
