Kedran (Kitty) Rose Mackenzie peacefully passed.
March 31st, 2024 at 36 years old was her last.
Day on this earth, distributing laughs.
Day feeling hurts, troubled by pasts.
Day as a unicorn, somewhat trapped.
In a world with often too little magic to be had.
Kedran loved and was loved by many.
Her community overflowing with friends and family.
Her parents: father Scott, stepdad Vic and mother Jody,
Multitudinous folks spread across states and counties.
Kedran always enthusiastically enjoyed
Being a big sister to 3 girls and 3 boys.
Maggie, Chace, Chloe, Konnor, Herry and Isabella,
The shenanigans we had... we will forever re-tell em’.
We lost Chloe, when we were much younger.
It gives us some comfort to imagine them together.
Kedran loved her sons with her whole heart,
Little Rafe, wonderful Will, and the incredible Alaster.
She believed that amazing miracles can be true.
The thing she believed in the very most, boys,
Is the three of you!
Kedran was a fighter, and fight she did!
She’d plant and tend optimism where it struggled to exist.
Trauma, addiction, health issues and poverty,
She would still smile and hug everyone she’d meet.
She’d want you to be your happiest, healthiest self.
She’d want you to dye your hair, if that’s how you felt,
She’d want you to sing in front of everyone else.
She’d want you to believe you are your own wishing well.
She would want every one of you to know
That YOU are magic, where ever you go.
She would want you to remind each other and show
That where love, curiousity and acceptance lives,
the magic will forever grow.
There will be a celebration of life for Kedran at the Little Ski Hill on June 22nd, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Anyone who wishes to attend this family-friendly, alcohol-free event is invited to join us as we share a meal, our favorite memories of her, and wish her luck on her next quest. Unicorn attire encouraged but not required.
