Leola Rice was born in Council, Idaho on August 13, 1955 and died in Nampa, Idaho on July 27,2025. She was the daughter of Lorne and Edna Rice and the youngest of four children. She was preceded in death by her parents and older brother, Dennis Rice. She is survived by an older sister, Sherry Jenkins (Nello) older brother, Warren (Helen) both of Council, Idaho and many Nieces and Nephews. Her services will be held on August 9th at the LDS church in Council at 10:00 a.m. and burial at the IOOF cemetery after the Service. Dinner will follow at the church.
Leola was raised in Fruitvale and Council area and attended school in Council. She also attended one semester at BSU in Boise then returned home because of sickness. She was active in the LDS church in Council, teaching early morning seminary for many years. She also worked the Relief Society. Leola also worked at Clearwater where she became close friends with Jennifer Madsen so when Clearwater moved to Boise they moved also sharing an apartment in Boise. After two years they bought a house together in Caldwell where they lived until Leola passing.
