It is with deep love and sadness that the families of Michael Ben Summers and Angel Kay (Franklin) Summers announce their passing on February 10, 2026, near Bouse, AZ. Inseparable in life, they left this world together after a tragic ATV accident.
Mike was born on May 27, 1965, in Anaconda, MT to the late Joe Summers and the late Eleanor Volle. Angel was born on September 27, 1969, in Ontario, OR to Don Franklin and the late Mary Hufferd.
Mike and Angel attended Cambridge High School and were married on March 17, 1990. Two sons were born to them, Matt in 1990 and Ryan in 1993. Together they built Summers Ranch in Cambridge where they raised their family.
Mike and Angel cherished their time with family and friends, often opening their home for the holidays for everyone to gather. They always made sure everyone felt welcome. They loved spending time with their nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mike grew up loving fishing & riding motorcycles and ATVs. He loved the mountains and spent as much time as he could on rides with Angel and many friends exploring places. One of Mike’s passions was taking farm ground and improving it to be more productive. Mike also had a passion for trucks which he shared with his brothers Greg and Doug. Many conversations turned into stories about trucks and hay hauling.
Angel was always by Mike’s side helping in the farming operation & raising the boys. She was also a successful businesswoman. In 2007 she built and operated the Country Coffee Cabin and operated it for 10 years. People would come from miles away to enjoy her food and coffee. She loved her trips to Jackpot for a little gambling and loved to sing karaoke with friends. She had an excellent voice. Angel touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. She was the ultimate caregiver to her family, always there to offer her loving care and support to family members and friends.
They were also devoted grandparents to their grandson, Gabe. They leave behind a legacy of love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Both Mike and Angel were actively involved in the Cambridge community and avid supporters of the local 4-H and FFA programs.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Summers, and Eleanor Volle; stepfather George Volle; and brother Doug Volle.
Angel was preceded in death by her mother Mary Hufferd; stepfather Dan Hufferd; stepmother Sandy Franklin; & sister Christina Blowers.
