Tami Swift Mack

Tami Swift Mack, Cascade Id, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend, was granted her wings on September 10, 2024.

Tami was born in 1961 in Pinedale, Wyoming where her father was working. After a brief stay in Wyoming, her family returned to their native Idaho. Her childhood was spent in the mountains of Riggins where she continued to visit throughout her life.

Tami started a 38-year adventure with Kelly Mack on July 2, 1986. They began their life together in New Meadows, Idaho but soon moved to Emmett where there were more work opportunities. As much as they enjoyed their Emmett community and the great friendships they had made, their mutual love of the mountains eventually took them to Cascade. This final move brought them to their lifelong home in 1994. There was much time spent hunting, fishing, gathering firewood, gardening and most importantly, camping at any given opportunity! Together, they raised three rambunctious boys who have become amazing men! These “boys would forevermore be the joy, happiness and pride in her life! They and their families were her absolute everything!

Amongst the many adventures in her life, Tami was also an amazingly hard worker. She determined to give her very best at whatever endeavor that she took on. The job that gave her the most satisfaction was her many years working for Bill and Joanne at Wheelers in Cascade. She held them in the highest regard and they, in turn, showed respect, confidence and trust in her ability which was truly appreciated by her. Following their retirement, Tami was fortunate to be able to switch careers and was employed at Umpqua Bank until her illness forced her to retire.

Tami is survived by her husband, Kelly Mack, Fur Baby Bailey, Sons: Terry Mack (Stephanie) of Cascade, Makayla (Kameron) Lacey and Kielee, Nichelaus Mack (Ingri) of Fruitland, Parker, Hank and Quincy, Cameron Mack (Janice) of Cascade, Jayden and Cayson, Father Ronald Swift of Riggins, Siblings Terry & Annie Swift, Dallas Long, Vickie & Jerry Carter, Shauna Conley & Nick, Curtis & April Long, Dean Ladman, Ronda & Randy Spickelmire, Debbie Swift & Leah as well as her brother from another mother, Bo (Maria) Smith. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews also survive her.

Waiting for her on the other side were Bob Mack, Rosemary Lindsey, Karen Locy Ladman, Sharon Hardy, Anabell Swift, Bonnie and Wilfred Swift, Carol and Dell Davis and numerous others.

The family would like to offer special thanks to the Communities of Cascade and Indian Valley, also Riggins EMT’s for the enormous support and contributions that were made to help Tami in this courageous battle. Very heartfelt thanks also to Shere, Stacie and Lisa of St. Luke’s Hospice for their loving comfort care on Tami’s behalf.

A celebration of life for Tami will be held September 21st at 1:30 pm at the Cascade American Legion Hall . A gathering of family and close friends will follow at the Mack residence so grab your chair and bring a favorite dish to celebrate Tami in true “Mack” style!

Cremation is under the direction of Bowman Funeral Home in Boise.
